The desire to extend our service saw King West team up with Oliver Hamnett’s firm, in 2018. An experienced agency with many years in the industry, Oliver joins the King West team as a key contact in London. With roots in Leicestershire, and maintaining strong family ties within the area, Oliver now runs a highly successful Residential Sales and Lettings Company based in SW11.
For those based in London looking to find a bolt hole in the country or considering a permanent move to a more sizeable property, Oliver is able to build a link and share the opportunities to purchase that we have on the market, or that we know are coming to market- be that overtly or as properties sold ‘off-market.’
With a foot in both camps, Oliver’s personal experience and knowledge mean that he can recommend areas that suit the criteria of his contacts- villages perhaps unlikely to appear at the top of a traditional rural-Midlands search list.
The King West Team
Our Market Harborough office is led by Stephen King, Director of Country House Sales. Stephen is supported by a team of expert Associates and Property Administrators across three offices; Market Harborough, Stamford and London.
A co-founder of the firm in 1998, Stephen is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with over 30 years of experience in the profession and is an extremely knowledgeable RICS registered valuer.
The Stamford office is led by Tom Wilson, a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Tom has extensive experience of negotiation and a proven track record in deal completion.
Our team is complemented by a number of viewing staff who are able to accompany every viewing of the properties we are selling on behalf of our clients.

Although the use of print media- especially the local press, is in significant decline as the world of technology surpasses the speed and reactivity of traditional exposure, we maintain that advertising in print still enables your house to be found.

One of the first questions we are often asked by our clients is what, if anything, should be done to their home before it is marketed for sale.
A clean, tidy, warm and inviting home, decluttered and to some level, de-personalised would be our advice. Beautiful photography, carefully worded copywriting and the highest quality brochures will lead to incredible results for our clients.
Creating images to sell your property, which do not age, is an important consideration- daffodils, snowdrops and cherry blossom may look beautiful, but paint a clear picture of when a property entered the market.
Our annual magazine showcases our beautiful region, celebrates the food and drink of our regional artisan producers and highlights the Country Properties for sale.
In addition, our Annual Review looks at the year ahead in rural property and is published around Christmas time each year.
