Demand for Property in Stamford is High.

Jonathan O'Shea of King West in Stamford reports to the Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce this week that the demand still exceeds supply for good quality property in Stamford. "Prices are back to and in excess of 2007 peak values. In some instances this is by as much as 20%. Growth spurts in property values over the past 12 months are responsible for 12% of this in some instances. Stamford remains a tightly held town with movers attracted to the schooling, integral nature of the town’s stone core and the excellent transport communications to the capital via high speed rail links at Peterborough."

King West recently sold Stukeley House in Stamford with a guide price of £1,950,000. At the end of August their Stamford office also held an open house event at a million pound property on Tinwell Road, which attracted over 20 viewings in an hour. "To have 22 people through the door of a house in August is like the good old days. Whilst I don't profess that the market is "mended" in the wider context, Stamford remains popular and good houses sell quickly - sometimes without even coming to the market," said O'Shea.
