Basic Payment Scheme 2015 update via the CAAV

Basic Payment Scheme 2015 update via the CAAV

Payments to be made to at least 35% of claimants on 1st December 2015

The RPA has confirmed that at least 30,000 claimants- equal to about 35% of the total number should receive their BPS 2015 payment when the payment window opens on the 1st December. Inevitably, this is likely to be more straightforward claims for BPS, which have required the least amount of additional validation work. Processing of other claims continues and the RPA remain ‘on track’ to pay the ‘majority’ by the end of December 2015 and the ‘vast majority’ by the end of January 2016.

Letters are being sent out over the next few days directly to BPS claimants who are unlikely to receive a payment by the end of January so that they may plan their cash flow. Those are likely to include claimants with common land, inspection cases where the inspection has an impact on the claim, cross border claims and extremely large/ complex claims.

All 2015 entitlements transfer notifications should have been issued by the end of November.
