A co-founder of the firm in 1998, Rupert has 31 years in the profession. After leaving the Royal Agricultural College Cirencester he qualified with the ADAS Land Service in Yorkshire before returning to his native East Midlands. For the past 28 years he has worked in the private sector, rising to partner in charge of the East Midlands Land Management Department of a national firm in the early 1990s, before co-founding King West.
A co-founder of the firm in 1998, Stephen has 28 years in the profession. He qualified in 1988 having been made a director of an international firm of chartered surveyors. He returned to his native East Midlands in 1989 and rose to partner in charge of the East Midlands residential department of a national firm in the early 1990's, before co-founding King West.
Mike joined King West in 1999, qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 2001. He has since assumed a leading role in the firm’s Land Agency Department advising clients on strategic and day-to-day Estate/Farm Management matters, the sale and acquisition of Estates and Farms, Single Payment/Agri-Environment Schemes and all other land management related matters. Mike is also an active member of the Agricultural Law Association being co-opted onto the Council of the Association in 2011.
Steve joined King West in 2005 after attaining a Diploma in Surveying Practice following a career in practical property refurbishment and project management. Qualified as a professional member of the RICS, Steve heads our Building Surveying Department. His expertise lies in all aspects of property maintenance and improvement, including extensive experience of listed buildings. Steve also established and runs King West's digital mapping system.
James is a highly respected and experienced Chartered Surveyor with unrivalled knowledge of the residential property market throughout the East Midlands. For over 25 years he has specialised in the field of survey and valuation of residential and rural property and in particular, assessment of period homes from small country cottages to listed manor houses. He has also considerable expertise in compulsory purchase and compensation together expert with witness work.
