Stephen J King FRICS
A co-founder of the firm in 1998, Stephen has 28 years in the profession. He qualified in 1988 having been made a director of an international firm of Chartered Surveyors. He returned to his native East Midlands in 1989 and rose to partner in charge of the East Midlands residential department of a national firm in the early 1990's, before co-founding King West. Stephen is a highly experienced RICS registered valuer.
Tom Wilson BSc ( Hons) MRICS
Having studied Land Management at the University of Reading, Tom qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2001. He then moved to London taking a role as a stockbroker in the City. The decision to move back to his rural roots has brought him to Market Harborough and to a career in Residential Agency. Having recently experienced the ‘Big Move’ first hand and all the emotions and administration that entails, Tom is looking forward to helping other families to find their new home in the Midlands.
Extracurricular activities include horses, running and cycling which keep Tom busy outside of work.
Initially specialising in conveyancing and for the last 14 years in the country house department at King West, Sue has a career spanning 37 years in the property market. Born in Northamptonshire, she moved to Leicestershire in her late teens. She has a strong local knowledge of both Counties, a former hobby enabled her to see both from the air - as a wing walker!
A seasoned Estate Agent, Richard joined the King West team in 2015 as a Negotiator based in the Stamford office. With over 16 years experience in properties across Northamptonshire and Rutland, Richard's passions lie in country properties and the great outdoors.
James Douglas BSc (Hons) MRICS, FAAV

James has joined King West from a farming background after graduating in 2014 from the Royal Agricultural University with a degree in Rural Land Management. James undertakes a wide variety of professional work primarily assisting in Estate/Farm Management and general agricultural advice.
With over 20 years experience in the local property market, Moira plays a key role in supporting all aspects of residential property marketing and sales. Moira’s roles range from organising viewings to ensuring smooth communications, updating details and requirements of potential buyers and keeping the rest of the team organised. As a true Stamfordian, born and raised in Stamford, her local knowledge is unrivalled. Running takes up much of Moira’s spare time.
Amy, an organised, detail-focused administration and viewings co-ordinator, joined the team at King West Market Harborough following a successful career in the travel industry. Amy has an exceptional local knowledge and fascination in the varied history of the country houses and villages of Leicestershire and Rutland. Amy loves to travel and also enjoys running, cycling and garden design.
As a long term resident of Stamford, Sally’s local knowledge is second to none amongst our viewings team. Sally has been showing purchasers around the houses of the region for 15 years and is a great asset to the purchasers looking for support in buying a new home. Excellent communication skills with an ability to listen carefully to what potential buyers require, Sally is highly regarded within the area.
Following relocation from Oxfordshire to Lincolnshire, Susie began working as part of a viewings team for Jonno O’Shea in Stamford. Susie spent a number of years working in the office developing the advertising and writing of brochures for country house sales in the region. Susie has a wealth of understanding of the houses of the area. In her spare time, Susie is a hospital volunteer and keen walker with her Labrador.
A resident of Great Oxendon near Market Harborough for many years, Janie has an exceptional knowledge of the nooks and crannies of the Leicestershire and north Northamptonshire countryside, towns and villages. Full of energy and with a creative eye, Janie can see opportunities in houses that she shares with her clients as well as a skill for interior design. Janie is a keen tennis player in her spare time.
Vikki was born and raised on a large country estate in North Yorkshire. Having spent the early part of her career at an Auction House in London, she moved into Estate Agency at the height of the property boom as a London-based house negotiator. Moving out of London to Oxfordshire and then on to Leicestershire in 2011, Vikki has become well acquainted with the country houses and estates of the region and is now a member of the viewings team at King West. Vikki has a keen interest in antiques and furnishings and having also spent 15 years farming land in Oxfordshire, loves country life.
