King West Associate becomes Commonwealth Gold medalist

Nicki Brocklesby represented England in the Commonwealth Shooting Federation Championships held in Delhi in February this year both in the Ladies Olympic Skeet Pairs and Individual event. Nicki, along with her team mate Pinky Le Grelle, won the gold medal in the Ladies Skeet Pairs; standing on the podium listening to the National Anthem was a very proud moment for them. Unfortunately just before the Individual Ladies Skeet event Nicki was struck down with a bout of Delhi Belly!  Although not feeling very much like shooting, she managed to compete, but not quite firing on all cylinders! Nicki was surprised but pleased to make the final, but was unable to improve her position of 6th place; under the circumstances though she was happy with her performance. Unfortunately the Ladies Olympic Skeet events have been removed from the Commonwealth Games this year so there will not be an opportunity for Nicki to return to Delhi to compete in the Games in October. 

Nicki’s next goal is to qualify for the forthcoming World Cups and World and
European Championships where she will represent Great Britain again as she did last year.
